Auburn Ski Club Prepares for Sunday Nordic Race

The Auburn Ski Club has the Silver Sage Sports Performance Nordic set for this Sunday, New Year’s Day, at 11:00am. This event is known as a “Rock Ski Race”, a low key, fun event for those who want to race on their rock skis. This gives people an opportunity to try a race and check their conditioning before the bigger race events begin.

The club is watching the snow conditions to determine if the event will be held, so they say check their website on Saturday the 31st at noon, to see if the event is going or not. Sign ups will be race day only and the price is to be determined. Be prepared to have some running sections!

Trails Notes: The 2K mini loop that survived for three weeks without new snow is now CLOSED. It was a great run but the warm, rainy weather has taken a toll. Until we get back to cold temperatures and a couple inches of new snow we will not be grooming.
Stay tuned to this report for news of the trails reopening.
