Ice Skating Rinks in Tahoe Truckee

If your ski resort is lacking snow, you might try a different sport.  Skating is cheap and easy to learn.  If you skated years ago, you can pick it up again quickly.  There are several rinks around the Tahoe Truckee area that offer public skating and skate rentals.  Many of the rinks are located at your favorite ski resorts. 

South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena 530-542-6262 Public Skating boasting an NHL size ice rink. 1176 Rufus Allen Blvd., South Shore.

Heavenly Lake Tahoe: 530-542-4230 Public Skating in Heavenly’s “Village”. Located off Ski Run Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.

Truckee Ice Rink: Public Skating under the pines, overhead lights and music, 7 days a week. Located in the Truckee River Regional Park on Old Brockway Road.

Olympic Ice Pavilion: 530-581-7246 Public Skating at High Camp, Squaw Valley in Olympic Valley. Hours are 11:00am to 10:00pm.

Resort at Squaw Creek: 530-583-6300 Public Skating 10:00am to 10:00pm. 400 Squaw Creek Road, Olympic Valley.

Village Ice Rink at Kirkwood: Outdoor rink with “breathtaking views”. Kirkwood Ski Resort

Village at NorthStar: 530-562-3689   9,000 square foot ice rink surrounded by outdoor fire pits, restaurants and comfortable seating areas.Truckee
