Boreal to hold Snowboard events this weekend

Boreal is hosting 2 snowboard slopestyle events this Saturday.  Everyone on the hill is invited to hang-out and watch the events.  Registration is event day from 8:00am to 10:00am, upstairs near the bar.  The first event starts at 11:00am.

These events are sanctioned by the United States of America Snowboard Association (USASA).  These slopestyle events are part of the North Tahoe Snowboard Series.  Points earned in these events go toward qualifying for the 2012 Nationals at Copper Mountain.  Copper is expected to attract nearly 1800 competitors ranging from 4 through 64 years of age.
There was a last minute change of schedule by the USASA, cancelling the halfpipe event this weekend, as well as holding 2 slopestyle events instead of just one as originally planned.
Boreal is reporting a snow base of 19”-27”.  Man-made, machine packed conditions.
