Mt. Rose ski resort gets upgrade approval

Some of the upgrade projects requested by Mt. Rose have been approved by a Washoe County Board. Mt. Rose has a $23.5 million dollar list of upgrades it wants to complete over the next  15 years.
Part of what has been approved by the Washoe Board is a lodge expansion to the Mt. Rose lodge, a new water storage pond for snow making, and upgrades to two existing lifts.

One of the upgrades involve opening 99 acres of new skiing land that is owned by the U.S. Forrest Service. The Forrest Service review is expected to take years to complete
