Night riding snowboarder becomes Glowing Man

Director Jacob Sutton got this idea to shoot a different kind of snowboarding video.  The “Glowing Man” is a night shoot of a snowboarder wearing a light suit.  The resulting video is a very strange look at a snowboarder carving through trees.
The video was shot in Tignes, France with local rider Will Hughes.  Hughes wore a specially constructed bodysuit with thousands of LED lights.  This rather absurd suit gives off the bright glow that extends into the thrown powdery snow.
The bodysuit contained about 5,000 lights and two battery packs.  The designer, John Spatcher put in more than 300 hours to make it.  There were some breakdowns in the light strings during filming, but they were repaired in the field with a soldering gun.
This video is something new and different
