Trains slopestyle contest at Alpine Meadows

This weekends Trains contest, presented by the High Fives Foundation, was a great spectator show. This was an invitational contest for 30 top professional skiers and riders to show off their skills in a unique contest format.

Individual athletes competed for the best 540 rotation in the morning, followed by the team event later in the day. The team event was for 10 rider/skier teammates shooting down the course in rapid fire succession.

The best spectator viewing area was near the triple ramp of the final mega jump. This area had a small tent city with food and beverage vendors, merchandise sales, an announcer and great tunes flowing through the hillside.

The weather was great, the beer cold, the vibe mellow, and the tricks large. What a great afternoon at Alpine Meadows.
