Adventure skier John Morrison tonight at Moody’s, Truckee

John Morrison, Cliff Bar team member and big-mountain adventure skier will be at Moody’s Bistro tonight, May 1 at 8:30pm.  Morrison has been skiing for 35 years in the Tahoe area and beyond.  His hometown is Squaw Valley, but he has countless descents from peaks in the Sierras, Tetons, Alaska Range, Alps, Andes, Central Asia, and others.
John has been part of this year’s Squaw Valley Adventure Slide Show Series.  Tonight’s slide show presentation will be about adventure skiing from California’s highest peaks in one season. John sometimes skied more than one “14er” in a day to meet his goal.  He skins fast on the ascents, and shreds the descents.
Here is the 14er (14,000 foot peaks) list:
1.    Mt. Langley
2.    Mt. Muir
3.    Mt. Whitney
4.    Mt. Russel
5.    Mt. Williamson
6.    Mt. Tyndal
7.    Split Mountain
8.    Middle Pallisade
9.    Mt. Sill
10. Polemonium Peak
11. North Pallisade
12. Thunderbolt Mountain
13. White Mountain
14. Mt. Shasta
Moody’s Gastric Pub is located in downtown Historic Truckee at Bridge Street and Donner Pass Roads.   530-587-8688
