Woodward Tahoe, the “action sports” training facility located at Boreal Ski Resort, will celebrate their grand opening on June 9. The event is free and open to the public from noon to 5:00pm. Top athletes in various sports will be there to demonstrate their skills at the facility.
A big part of Woodward Tahoe is their 33,000 square foot building called the “compound”. The compound is the big building in Boreal’s parking lot that you can see from the freeway. Inside the compound there are 7 trampolines, a triple “launch pad”, bouldering wall, tumbling track, foam pits and various skatepark features.
Training programs include skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, skiing, cheer, tumbling, and digital media. The first program is a week-long “camp” that begins June 10, 2012.
Boreal will be running one lift during the grand opening to allow access to one terrain park. Lift tickets are $25 dollars.
