Cycle the Sierra bike riders go through Lake Tahoe


Cycle the Sierra is a fully supported 5 day, 300 mile ride that starts and ends in Nevada City.  There are still openings available if you want to ride.  Space is limited to 300 riders.  The cost is $835 dollars.
Participants are treated to a “camp” each night with food, live music, beer and wine, hot showers, massage therapists and bike mechanics.  The ride route will provide a sag wagon plus rest stations with potties and a medical patrol.
Day 1: Nevada City to Chili Bar, 61 miles.
Day 2: Chili Bar to Kirkwood Mountain Resort, 62 miles.
Day 3: Kirkwood to Lake Tahoe, 34 miles.
Day 4: Lake Tahoe to Sierraville, 65 miles.
Day 5 Sierraville to Nevada City, 82 miles.
Day 4 of the ride is June 26, 2012 when the riders will travel on Hwy.89 from Camp Richardson through Truckee on their way to Sierraville.
