Sailboat racing this weekend on Lake Tahoe

The Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club is putting on the “Southern Crossing” sailboat race on June 23.  The racing is set to get underway at 11:00am from Tahoe Keys.  The 25 nautical mile course will go north to Rubicon Bay, across the lake to Cave Rock, and then back to Tahoe Keys.

There will be two race classes, spinnaker or non-spinnaker, and separate divisions within each class.  Only single hulls are allowed.  The non-spinnaker class will race a shortened course of 17 nautical miles.  All boats must finish by 10:00pm to be considered an official finisher.
The entry fee is $50 dollars for the non-spinnaker fleet, and $10 dollars more for spinnakers.  Tickets include two tickets for the trophy presentation the following day at the Cantina restaurant.
Late entry forms will be accepted race day, 9:00am, at the Tahoe Keys Marina.  For full information and entry form, visit the Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club website.
