Tahoe-Truckee July 4 Firework shows

The backdrop of Donner Lake or Lake Tahoe make firework shows a great spectacle. There will be several fireworks shows going on in the area simultaneously.  I think the best viewing is from a boat as close to the launching barge as possible.
The following is a list of the firework shows in the area. All shows start around 9:30pm.  Get to your viewing location by 9:15pm.

·         Donner Lake, West Shore. You can watch them from anywhere on the lake or from high above on Donner Summit.

·         Tahoe City, Commons Beach.  They are requesting donations on their website.

·         Incline Village, plus a whole week of activities.

·         South Lake Tahoe at Edgewood, Watch from Nevada Beach, Timber Cove Marina, Tallac Historic Site, and Bijou Community Park

There will be a fireworks show on July 3, at King’sBeach.

Don’t forget the Parade through downtown Truckee starting at 10:00am.  There is a 1 mile “firecracker” fun run at 9:00am in downtown Truckee as well.
Law enforcement have a zero tolerance policy for the purchase, use and possession of illegal fireworks. Fireworks pose a threat to our dry forest.
