Buy a specialty Tahoe license plate and get 2 free lift tickets

The Tahoe fund is once again offering lift tickets when you order a specialty license plate for your car.  The Tahoe Fund, in conjunction with the California Tahoe Conservancy, operates the Plates for Powder winter license program.

The Plates for Powder program benefits trails, parks, and water restoration projects in the Tahoe Basin.

New Tahoe license plate fees benefiting the Tahoe Basin are $50 dollars in California and $61 dollars in Nevada. The annual renewal fee is $40 dollars in California and $30 dollars in Nevada.

Powder Plates must be purchased from now until April 15, 2013. Plates should be purchased through the Tahoe Fund website. You have your choice of Alpine or Nordic tickets at 11 area ski resorts.
