Oakley release new high-tech ski goggles

Oakley has just released their new Airwave goggles with a live monitor display. A tiny monitor in the lower right side of the goggle can provide the wearer with information such as resort maps, temperature, speed, music playlist, and GPS information.

The monitor is designed to appear 5 feet away, so refocusing your eye as you ski/ride “is not necessary”, according to Oakley.
The goggles have integrated GPS and Bluetooth technology for connecting to the display.  The display can be controlled from a smartphone or a special wristwatch controller.
There is no information on the wristwatch controller at this time.  The price for the Airwave is $599.

Personally, I don't want any information distracting me when I ski.  Let's get a bunch of you early adopters out on the mountain with this technology. You guys/girls can prove me wrong.
