Tahoe Donner Cross Country was selected to host the United States Ski and Snowboard Association SuperTour Finals and Distance Nationals, April 4 through 11, 2013. This event is the premier cross country ski race in the country.
The SuperTour Finals are 30K and 50K distance races. “World-Class” athletes are expected to attend this event. The course is “spectator friendly” according to the ski center manager, Sally Jones. Access to the course is easy with skis or snowshoes.
The Auburn Ski Club will host Classic Sprint racing on April 6, and Sugar Bowl will host the men’s and women’s Freestyle Hill Climb race on Monday, April 8. All other racing will be at Tahoe Donner Cross Country.
Volunteers are needed to help with this elite level Nordic competition. A volunteer form is available on the USSA website.
