Teen dies in snow tubing accident near Mt. Rose

15 year-old Dylan Ridolfi died when he slid into a tree. Family and friends were tubing in the Sheep’s Flat area off the Mt. Rose Highway when the accident occurred.
Witnesses said the slope they were using was icy and fast. Within the first 20 or 30 feet of his slide, he veered off and hit a tree. Ridolfi received CPR immediately from his father and others until a rescue squad arrived. He was pronounced dead shortly after 4 pm. Sunday.

Ridolfi stood 6 feet 2 inches and weighed 240 pounds. He was an offensive lineman for the Oak Ridge High School freshman football team in El Dorado Hills.
Oak Ridge High School held a candlelight vigil for Ridolfi last night near the archery range on El Dorado Hills Boulevard.
