Heavenly's U.S. Freestyle Championships

The mogul competition was completed today with some surprising results. Hometown boy Sho Kashima (South Lake Tahoe) was looking for a hometown win today. Unfortunately, he came in third behind the Wilson brothers (Bradley and Bryon) from Butte, Montana.

In the women's moguls, Heather McPhie took the championship over second place Hannah Kearney and third place Eliza Outtrim.

The competition will continue at Heavenly this weekend with Aerials on Saturday and Dual Moguls on Sunday. The venues will be Gunbarrel and World Cup runs at the California base area. There is good spectator viewing of these runs without needing a ski pass.

The party gets started Saturday night with a live concert by Liquid Blue at 4:30pm. Women's aerial finals begin at 5:45pm and the men's aerial finals begin at 7:45pm.

Sunday, March 31: Dual Mogul Finals

11:45pm- 3:00pm, Women's and Men's Dual Mogul Finals.
