New Cross Country Ski Center for Tahoe Donner

The Tahoe Donner board of directors determined that the current Cross Country Ski Center needs improvements due to “the changing needs of the community”. The board has approved a brand new facility that will provide an “increased service level” to customers.
Dale Cox Architects, from Truckee, have been hired to design the building. Cox has met with a steering committee to hear desires and needs for the facility in order to develop a floor plan. The new building will use the same footprint as the existing building, but allow more room for the rental operation, expanded retail space, add a locker room, more seating, and more parking.

The new Ski Center will use stone, timbers, and wood siding to create a “mountain lodge” look. Homeowner feedback will be gathered before final decisions are made to the center.
The next homeowner meeting will be March 16, at 5:30pm at the existing Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center. If you can’t make the meeting, questions and comments can be directed to
The new Cross Country Ski Center is expected to be fully operational in early 2015.
