Squaw Valley will host Alpine Championships again in 2014.

The United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) announced the return of the U.S. Alpine Championships to Squaw Valley. The dates have been set for March 19-23, 2014. USSA calls the Alpine Championships the close of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games Season.

Members of the U.S. Ski Team will attend, as well as club members from across the country. Local skiers Julia Mancuso and Travis Ganong should be back to defend their Super G titles. Others expected to compete include Lindsey Vonn, Ted Ligety, and Body Miller.
Nature Valley will return next year as the title sponsor. Bill Marolt, president and CEO of USSA said this year’s Alpine Championships at Squaw had some of the biggest crowds in the history of the event.
