Jamie Anderson clears monster jump

South Tahoe snowboard athlete, Jamie Anderson, will be featured in an upcoming television program called Mountain Movers. Mountain Movers is a  reality series that gives viewers an inside look into how ski/snowboard park features are built.
The company featured in Mountain Movers is Snow ParkTechnologies (SPT). SPT builds the competition courses for Winter X Games, Winter Dew Tour, Burton U.S. Open and hundreds of other venues.
Episode 5 of Mountain Movers will feature a gap jump performed by 22 year-old Jamie Anderson. Anderson is a six-time snowboard Winter X gold medalist who calls Sierra at Tahoe her home mountain.

SPT created a launch and landing ramp over a paved road at Sierra at Tahoe. Gap jumping isn’t new, but few females attempt them. You don’t want to land short on a gap jump. Show producers say Anderson is the first woman to land a jump of this magnitude.
The “Monster Jump” will air the evening of Thursday, June 6 on the National Geographic Channel (NatGeo).
