Dew Tour Breckenridge will be an Olympic Selection Event

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) added the Dew Tour Championships at Breckenridge, Co as a USSA event. Now Breckenridge, along with the four-stop Sprint U.S. Grand Prix series will be used to determine the 2014 Olympic Team in freeski and snowboard halfpipe and slopestyle.

The Breckenridge Championships will showcase the top U.S. Snowboarding and U.S. Freeskiing athletes. The event is scheduled for December 12-15. Qualification will be based on each athlete's best two finishes in the series.

The Sprint U.S. Grand Prix events at Copper Mountain, Northstar, Park City, and Mammoth Mountain will round out the U.S. Olympic team selection process. The Olympic team will be announced on January 22, prior to the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Sochi takes place February 7-23, 2014.

The 2013 Dew Tour and Sprint U.S. Grand Prix will be broadcast on NBC and NBCSN.
