Elevation, the Backcountry ski film set for Tahoe viewing

Elevation, the full length backcountry film by Powderwhore Productions will be showing next week in two Tahoe area venues. The 1:45 minute film is dubbed,  "a human powered exploration into the cold crisp winter mountains." The "real adventure" begins beyond the out-of-bounds signs that keep us from freedom, the producers say.

Tahoe City, Alpen Glow Sports, October 14, 7pm, $10 dollars.

Truckee, Sports Exchange, October 15, 7pm, $10 dollars.

Film locations include the Grand Tetons, Mount Rainier, Alaska and the Wasatch Mountains. These skiers and riders get up the mountain the old fashioned way- they hike their way up.

Beer is "provided" at both locations by Big Sky Brewing Co. of Missoula, Montana. Big Sky brews several beers with names like Trout Slayer, Slow Elk, Scape Goat, and Moose Drool. Sounds tasty to me.
