The latest storm brought several inches of fresh snow to the trail system at Royal Gorge. As of 12/8, the Gorge is expecting to be ready for opening day this Monday with 13 groomed tracks for a total distance of 14 kilometers of skiing.
The weather should be sunny with an overnight low in the negative numbers and warming to nearly freezing temperatures during the day. Light winds will help make the day just fine when you’re on the trails working hard.
The price for a daily pass is $28 dollars for an adult this year. Various season passes are available including a pass that allows you to ski downhill at Sugar Bow.
Royal Gorge is now under new ownership and is operated by Sugar Bowl Ski Resort. Fresh improvements have been made to grooming machines, trail signage, and Summit Station lodge.
