Alpenglow Mountain Festival Begins 10-Day Run

The Alpenglow Mountain Festival is a collection of mostly free activities designed to inspire and explore North Lake Tahoe’s playground. Activities include trail running, hikes, standup paddleboarding and yoga. Presentations include films, speakers, equipment demonstrations, and even a Pub Run. Activities begin June 20 and end on June 28, 2015.

Stephanie Howe, winner of the 2014 Western States 100, will be leading a group run through Page Meadows on Saturday, June 20. Wingsuit flyer, Steph Davis will be speaking at the Tahoe Art Haus about “Managing Mountain Risk”, on Saturday, June 20.

Check with the Alpenglow Mountain Festival website for a complete schedule of events. It’s easy to register online. They ask that you do attend or you will be charged $20 for a local charity.

Most events and activities are geared toward beginner and intermediate enthusiasts who want to have fun. Venues include Donner Summit, Donner Lake, West Shore Café, Page Meadows, Barker Pass, Sugar Pine State Park, and more.
