  1. Donner's Tahoe Cup, May 26, was identical to last year's--snow, wind, and chop. The change was having a fair start and an exciting finish, and Tahoe Paddle and Oar provided the paddlers with a well run event, tons of swag, and quick results. The weather could have been better, but the smiles and friendly paddlers made for the special opening day to the Tahoe SUP race season. Jay Wild took the men's overall, and Jen fuller took the women's overall, but if you missed the men's finish, it was like the 12'6" Thunderbird finish last year--crash, splash, boom and bash.

Nimbus Classic, June 3, in the Books: SUP makes NOISE where the conditions were suburb for this annual event, and hardly anybody left empty handed. Current Adventure's triangle course that brings the race to everyone on Lake Natoma saw the SUP participation increased two-fold--yippy! Scott Estrada nailed the 10k in 1:06 on his new Infinity 14', followed closely by Charlie Banfield on his Bark 14' who just came off the UGLY WaveChaser downinder. Connie Altman took the women's 10K on her Flatwater 12'6". Great to see everyone having so much fun. Just ask Mike Melville about our awesome venue.
